Re: The Menin Gate, Ypres.
I think its a cracking shot.
CodaThere will be times when you will be in the field without a camera. And, you will see the most glorious sunset or the most beautiful scene that you have ever witnessed. Don't be bitter because you can't record it. Sit down, drink it in, and enjoy it for what it is!

Re: The Menin Gate, Ypres.
Hi Steve,
Very nice shot.
Very much off subject, but I would recommend anyone to go to the Menin Gate if you get the chance and experience the nightly service and playing of the Last Post by the Ypres Fire Department.
One of the most moving experiences of my life.
Steve, some great shots on your Website about the Western Front, Memorials, Cemeteries etc, I have visited most of them, it is just a most remarkable experience.

I tried to make this one slightly different to other shots of the Menin Gate/Last Post Ceremony at Ypres.
Thanks again, Steve.
