    iPad application question

Are you aware of an iPad App that could be used to read the EOS magazine on the iPad ?
    Thanks.

      Anyone?
I was gutted when I added the digital subscription to my print subscription, then found I couldn't read it on the iPad.

Damn Apple & their spat with Adobe.

There is a free programme called Calibre that will convert it for you to pretty much any ereader format. Give it a go.

Rather than starting a new thread, I'll just continue on this since the issue is the same. Now that you can read the EOS magazine directly on the iPad, you cannot save it for off-line reading. I've tried to print but the format "pdf.aspx" could not be opened in IBooks or any of the App that I have.
I was able to print to a pdf format on my desktop and import this to the iPad, however, going this route, the print resolution is
not the best. The iOS5 has introduced a Magazine Rack - anybody using this for EOS magazine?
Please share how you are reading the magazine on the iPad.
            Cheers.

I go to the magazine, then select print. Once the thumbnail pages appear, I elect all pages, then click the print button. When the printer window pops open, I elect save to pdf. Once it is done, then I move the pdf file over to iTunes, then sync my iPad & then read it using the iBook app.

I can do that because I have acrobat installed on my PC.

Is it no longer essential to have some kind of 'PDF maker' installed to have the 'print to pdf' function ?

I have a iMac & a Airbook and both has given me the option to print to pdf w/o installing any other software.

Yes thanks. This works fine, ..you can even determine the quality of the output. This is the option for capturing the magazines from within a desktop or another computer and transfer to iTunes. I was trying to do this within iPad2.

                      Re: iPad application question

FYI, I discovered that after upgrading to IOS 5, the Magazine as a PDF file no longer opened in the iBook App. However, I also use the PDF Expert App and the magazine opens fine as a PDF file in that App.

Adobe have also released a PDF reader app for IOS5 that works very well too. It's free BTW.

Hi guys, sorry if this appears stupid but I just cant work out how to get the magazine downloaded for offline viewing?

I have the ipad2, adobe free app and ibooks but if I select down load all pages they just download and appear in the ipad web browser. I was hoping there would be an open in Adobe option or something. Am I missing something blatantly obvious!

just been given free trial of digital version, glad it was free, can't download to read offline, have downloaded 2 pdf reader apps and still no joy, shows the option to "Open in" but does nothing, have emailed eos magazine and had no reply. Dosn't work unless I have an internet connection, both on ipad and iphone 4S. Very poor show.

Bexman and The Real Swoosh: After the download has finished, touch the top of the magazine page, just below the menu bar. Another menu will appear, allowing you to save to the iBooks app. Quit the browser and open iBooks. Your download will be there ready to read.

If you touch the screen at the bottom of the page, a navigation bar will appear. Very good show!

The Real Swoosh: Apologies for not replying by return. I did not have my iPad in the office today, but checked the procedure as soon as I got home this evening.
