    Gimbal for my tripod

This more of an ask on how to make a gimbal for my tripod , has anyone tried to make one to any degree of success?

Hi try this link ' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRcXn...eature=related ' it looks pretty simple, there are plenty of other offerings of varying complexity.

        Gimbals for different things.
        • One type for wildlife etc. where a smooth action on the tripod for tracking animals and birds is required, plus dialling in a little friction for a smooth action.

        • Second type for panorama's, to assist in an overlap for subsequent stitching. Can be used for 360deg overlaps. Very important to be able to adjust the camera position, so that the nodal point of the lens is zero, to minimise distortion within the shot.

The youtube link was for the second type.
