I hope that this is not too heretical for EOS Magazine but ...
Given that a DSLR - mine's a 7D - tends to be bulky and heavy, many of us fancy having a compact in the pocket when we don't want to take an EOS.
Clearly you can't go too far out of the EOS zone but what about short reviews of new Canon compacts, particularly in terms of where they might equal a DSLR in facilities and what we would miss. It's easy to be seduced by new gear and then realise that, for example, there's no viewfinder information, depth of field preview etc.
