    Interesting Hare experience

    Hi All,

Sorry it's Hares again, but I can't find any Badgers and Foxes, or Barn Owls at the moment for that matter!

I spotted this Hare down a track about 50m from the road so I turned the Car in and stopped about 40m away and it didn't move, the Sun was behind the Hare which is a shame and ISO was high for my liking so dropped the speed down to try and keep ISO down.

The Hare never moved and just kept chewing grass, so I decided to risk driving closer, I waited until a Car was driving past each time to start my engine and it just ignored me, I did this 3 times until I was about 15m away from it, before he decided I was intruding and he took off, but even then he didn't seem worried, he just ambled away.

They are most alert for predators.

You are a predator, but your car isn't. As long as you are in the car, you are not a predator and you can get quite close before they become concerned.

I like the standing pose best , and I am happy when I get something similar to this , which is a bit different , though to my experience Hares only stand when they are disturbed and want a better look at something before deciding to leg it or not .
