    St James Sopping Centre Edinburgh.

    First time I have ever been told by security that I cannot take shots in a shopping centre. I had my camera, but plenty with phones taking selfies and that was okay for them, but the guy did let me keep these two images of the roof.

              To the security jobsworth DSLR = "Professional Photographer" (ie out to make a fast buck by selling a negative story to the media) while a phone = man in the street...

              I guess that a DSLR or similar 'proper' camera is also easier to spot than a phone and much easier to single out - spotting and stopping the all the phone photographers would be about as feasible telling the tide not to come in...
