    Leaning tower of Wybunbury

This is the remaining tower (and it is leaning slightly) of St Chad's Church at Wybunbury in Cheshire....the ground could not support the church..so the original had to be demolished in 1595, it was then rebuilt and demolished again in 1793, and again in 1833 and again in 1892 and the last church was demolished in 1977....there is a new Church on better ground a few hundred yards away.

The elevation without the clock is where the chancel and nave joined so perhaps there never was a clock there…but you do often have four clocks…maybe just when they are higher up the tower

Wasn't it Einstein who said the definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over again in the hope of getting a different result...

        Good shots thought but...

Indeed….it’s incredible that they tried as many times….must have thought they’d cracked it at each iteration….I don’t suppose they could just google it as each generation set to work
