    Auroa

A CME (coronal mass ejection) from our Sun has struck the earths outer geomagnetic field. The Kp value is rising and may reach a max. after midnight . Anybody living from the midland upwards may see an aurora if the sky is clear - the further north you are the better the chances.

      Re: Auroa

I stayed up until about 3am tracking it's intensity on the internet but to see it where I am would have needed a KP of 7 or higher and it was only at 5.6 when I decided to go to bed. I hope others had more joy

There were a few of the members of the photography group that I am in went out last night to try but no one had any success as the mist and clouds covered everything
