              I love to see pictures of this kind, especially ones as good as these. It puts everything into perspective for me and shows that we are just an insignificant part of the whole scheme of things and that when man has destroyed our planet, as he seems hell bent on doing, the universe will remain in all its glory.                           Apologies for not stating clearly that yes, I'm in New Zealand. Middle of the North Island to be exact & I'm very lucky to live under such wonderful dark skies.

                          Ian Paul: Thanks for your comments & your point-of-view. If you could see the utter majesty of our skies, that the camera can't capture, my hope would be that you understand that we aren't insignificant at all.
                          For what would be the point of the universe if there was no life to ponder it?
