    Aurora Borealis

I never would have believed I'd see the aurora from my own home in worcestershire.
i went out around 11pm, just as the first "greens" were beginning to appear. by 11:30 it was technicolor - at one point the pinks were bright even to the naked eye! I stayed out until 1am. Captured around 180 images.

there's more activity likely again tonight. Aurorawatch UK app is pretty accurate.

3:2 format were taken using my Canon 200d / Samyang AF F/2.8 EF
wide format were taken with Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro mobile phone

Didn't realise they would be that good. Even though I am in Dorset, I might give it a try tonight.

Beautiful. Likewise amazing that we could see them from here on Suffolk/Norfolk border. My wife and I drove a few minutes away from the town to a darker area. We spent about an hour watching and taking photos. Going again tonight but this time with tripods!. Had to make do with a solid gatepost last night and Canon R now setup for manual focus.
