    Just bricks and mortar

My old school as been pulled down.

I did try to get to take photos when there would have been at least one wall standing, but didn't pull it off.

Weather was horrid. One second dry but cold, next second spitting with rain and cold, next second pouring it down and freezing. I even took refuge in the bus shelter at one point. Light was deplorable. Add the fact that my brain went to mush about settings and I'm surprised I managed to get the shutter to take an image at all. All taken through metal railings

Not perfect and in truth not what I wanted, but I doubt very much they would have built a wall back just for me. I looked so see if I could spot parts that I recognise. Hence some colour popping. (For those that hate colour popping, I apologise in advance.)

A school with radiators - luxury - when I was at school (slate and chalk - and I'm not joking) ...

Nicely done colour popping ... all good

Di the colour popping for me work best, well done for trying something different.

As with MX I remember the chalk boards and rubbers well, the trick was that when you dropped off at the back of the class not to be hit with the board rubber as the master threw it at you. Oh how things have changed

I like the first and last Di, and I think the borders work well with the subject and B&W.

            Thanks everyone.

Confess must have tried twenty border formats before I settled on what I picked, just plain lines didn't work with everything.

                      Thanks.

Diana it was kind of sad. Half of me was kicking myself because I didn't get there when there was still some walls standing, the other half was just looking and going "wow" its gone.
