    Whitehouse Train Station (HDR)

Today I had to go to the bank so on the way home I stopped by the Whitehouse Train Station for today's image. The Station was built 1892. Bradford L. Gilbert was the architect who designed the building in the popular Victorian Style called Richardsonian Romanesque. Through citizen initiative and the NJ Transit Station leasing program, the station was restored to it's original grandeur in 7 months. So on December 7. 1981 it re-opened it's doors as a public library as well as still being used as a passenger train stop for commuters heading to NYC.

All images are taken with the EOS-M w/EF-M 22mm f/2 STM @ Aperture Priority set to f/3.5
This is an HDR image using 5 images

Well it looks like the jury is still out on this image. So here is the Color version to compare it with:

I've looked at this twice now Tom. The really confusing part of the image is the rail lines in the foreground with the right angles which doesn’t quite work for me and certainly not for a train!.
It’s also making me think how has Tom processed this. It looks a nice, though rather one sided little spot.

A very interesting building (and many thanks for the narrative as that gives me context). I think I'll say the picture is interesting if not intriguing ... it's good to experiment.

Thanks Stan, Peter & MX5 for stopping by. While I was on a Cruise last week, they had several images displayed using this technique. One was of the Bangkok Skytrain Rails, the other was in a subway where the train made a 90 degree turn. This images intrigued me as I looked at them everyday and by the 3rd day it finally dawned on me how the photographer/artist created those images.

This was my 1st try after I figured out his technique.

Interesting indeed Just to be devious I think I would have cloned out one of the manhole covers in the 3rd shot

Love that third shot. And echo all the comments so far i.e. interesting and intriguing and certainly makes you stop and study it.

Very intriguing shot Tom, looked at it yesterday but rather confused with it.
                        Prefer the B&W version.

I think the 3rd image suits the treatment better as it looks more natural (??)
A technique worth a try sometime
