    Choices

    Hello everyone,

    Not visited here much over the last few weeks, but a couple of days ago I got myself an EF 85mm f/1.8; playing with it today I took the attached image. I've decided to call it 'choices' because it just made me think about that sometimes, the choices we make are like the two sides of a door. I'll appreciate any feedback you've got.

      I like the idea and execution, great image! The depth of field (or lack thereof!) of that lens is spectacular!

      A couple of suggestions: The door doesn't look exactly central, I'd lighten the light-side shadow a tad to make the light-side more even, and lastly try to tone down the blown-out areas on the latch-plate. I presume you've used the built-in flash? If so, diffusing it (a sheet of paper would do) may help the blown-out area and the light-side shadow.

          I like the photo and the concept - not only black and white (choices) but also a definite grey in the middle!
