    Holy Cross Church

As you can tell a newbie to this forum. Straight in with my size 8's a recent image of a local church. This was my first outing with my Sigma 10-20. A cracking piece of glass but boy you have to watch those verticals, something I obviously didn't do

Please be gentle and go easy on a shy boy, thanks.

Nice and great bit of PP ... when using WA you have to be so aware of whats going on around you, or just buy a TSE lens ;o)... or just walk further backwards is a cheaper option

    Welcome to the forum BTW

A good mono image and nice conversion.

When you shoot always leave some dead space around the subject which will make it easier to sort out the converging verticals later

        Re: Holy Cross Church

If you've fairly recent version of PS there are tools to help correct verticals. Though not too sure how successful it is as I've never tried myself.

Often difficult with WA lens to keep the verticals in check.

This is a nice image and a great way to introduce yourself to the forum. Look forward to seeing more, welcome.

          Re: Holy Cross Church

Nice image and great processing. The tower still looks a little 'odd' but that can easily be sorted in PS with a Transformation dragging the top left corned in and down a tad... I had the Sigma 10-20 for a long while; it was a great lens. I only swapped it out when I bought a FF body...

That's a nice dramatic image, I like the angles and lines.
                The conversion is also good.

You have controlled the verticals well. That Sigma is an excellent piece of glass.
