    Re: 9.3 sec

I like it, but for me the bridge is a little 'lost' in the background and doesn't stand out enough.

      Re: 9.3 sec

Thanks Andy. The difficulty is that the Bridge is green and the background is green and with the evening light, the bridge tends to fad into the background.

The 1st image was processed using Silver Efex Pro. This image is a 3 Image (from 3.5 sec to 9 sec) HDR using the LR6 HDR function and then processed in BW using LR

The sky is a lot better in the LR6 version

I've been using 32bit HDR quite a bit recently and find the new LR Merge to HDR function works really well

Thanks Mike, I really like the LR Merge. It makes the work flow easier as well.

The colour works much better Tom but I still think the bridge needs to stand out more. Perhaps a localised brush in LR to bring it out ?

Thanks Alan. I've tried that. My best bet is to go back when the sun is lighting it better, however can't get the slower shudder speeds then.

Slap a stronger ND filter on Tom or close up the aperture?

I think on both colour and b&w I'd say nearly. I want to like them, in many ways I do - I certainly admire the technical aspects. Sometimes, though, you get a subject or viewpoint that just doesn't quite work and this might be one of those.

It disappoints me to say that because I admire so much of your work. Or perhaps it's because your work is so good I'm expecting more. It may even be that it just needs a different time of day to create different light and shade?
