    Science city valencia

    an old one never processed as I was never 100% happy, now I'm 99% ;o)

      trust me colour is as flat as it comes .... dull day would be an understatement

        For a flat image as you say, you've dragged life into it mate. Well suited to mono. I'm just not sure about the drain/grate in the foreground.

          Thats an interesting view of it... Mostly one only sees it from the side or three-quarters on. Very effective in mono.

            cheers Alan - so annoyed about the light and it killed a lot of the shots I had planned - hence why I never processed this shot, but its come okish now

            I'm just not sure about the drain/grate in the foreground.
            I did consider loosing it, but that would have meant loosing the others as well - and had it been a perfect shot I would have had a go ....the thing that annoyed me was clipping the shadow on the left

            thanks, its a problem finding different shots when so many have taken it - but it seems to work

                Looks to me like a suitable subject (in the near future) for a shot at 11mm on a FF camera body.
                When you do, please consider not cloning out things like drain grids as there are part of the overall architecture - think of using them to your advantage - in close dominating the whole of the foreground ?

                  thanks James its a location that will be on my "must return" locations .... although hopefully this time the lights will also be on ! ( booked and stayed in a hotel only to find when I got there at 10 it was in darkness grrrrr) - looking forward to seeing what the 11mm will do ;o) ....
