Still and calmness, waiting for Sunrise

I just wanted to share a photograph looking across Llyn Idwal (Snowdonia National park, Wales ). Patiently waiting for the sun to rise, I was very happy to photograph some of the moody tones around me. As everything was all mottled around me, just had to be black and white.

Thanks Alan....Unfortunatley, on this shot, as it was still very black in the shadows, so when I tried to drag a touch more detail out, it was too noisy for my liking. This was near enough the first shot I took on the visit, I was just getting some shots done, checking composition, enjoying the contrasts...Probably should of raised the ISO up higher being a 6D, but, that's more of hindsight....Cheers matey

I like it as it is - with blacks as black as coal.

Yeah, I try my best to keep editing to a bare minimum to be honest. As you say, sometimes, things are best left as they are and enjoy the shot for what and how it is...

Thanks James...I'm always a little hesitant in keeping too much black in a photo, but, I felt on this occasion, it suited well with the charcoal tones in it.

Cheers Pete, appreciate your feedback...I seem to have a thing for having a moody feel to the black and white shots I do...ha ha ha
