    Airport Seating

Whilst waiting for our flight to be called on Friday afternoon, thought this row of empty chairs would make a good mono conversion

I do like that Stan. The light and contrast works so well. Only downside for me, the scratches on the end of the first seat frame

      Re: Airport Seating

Nice conversion, good use of DOF and patterns, but over all the image is not working for me. The crop is a bit to tight at the top, and it's a row of chairs. Sorry Stan.

I'm with Tom, its not quite working as it feels too tightly cropped

          Cheers guys

my thinking with the shot is that it is all about the lines and diagonals so cropped tight partly to bring the lines radiating from the top left to bottom right and partly to get rid of distractions, particularly along the top, where there was a row of windows on the opposite side of the lounge

This is the original out of camera shot

What I like (just me and you then Stan) is the retro look to your original post

even though they are very modern seats

I do prefer that crop Stan
had there not been the bright highlights from the windows along the top, a wall instead, then I would probably have just converted as it is

Nice conversion, you can almost feel the metal... Crop works for me as it's all about tone and texture.

I have to say it works for me too. Nice and crisp throughout, great lines and a very metallic feel to it for me...Nice one Stan !!
