    Old Steel Mill

It was a cool fall evening as we walked down the path next to the Lehigh river. When off to my left was the old Bethlehem Steel Mill, so I took the ICE ND 1000 filter and placed it on the lens and took this image of the Mill

I like that Tom, it's just a shame you couldn't get the space below the reflection to give a little bit of space to the edge of the frame.

It's a great subject but it all feels a bit flat. As an industrial subject it really needs a more gritty feel with deeper blacks particularly in the buildings themselves. Try giving it a contrast boost in curves and see what you think...

            Re: Old Steel Mill

            Interesting building Tom.
I think this is well suited to a black and white conversion - the more gritty the better. I quite like your image as it is but if I was going to make a suggestion is that I think the reflection adds nothing to an already interesting industrial structure. Perhaps some long exposure shots of the just the building with a blurred, moving sky - in fact anything that gives it that feeling of a some creepy sci-if film set.
            Hope that helps

As you've not got all the building in the reflection, I do prefer the second edit Tom

I prefer the one without the reflection - nice work Tom

A big big change with the boost in contrast...far better for me, and I like the inclusion of the reflection

Your second one gets my vote. More muscle in the mono.

Thought the extra contrast would help. Still prefer it with the reflection though.
