    Under the Jetty

Left this for weeks before wondering if there was a shot there and also how to process it. Rather pleased with the outcome. As always, interested to hear what you guys think?

    Re: Under the Jetty

I really like that Alan. Some may not like the cluttered background, but I think it fits the slightly gritty processing and blown water giving a more industrial feel rather than artistic. Then the clouds suit it all perfectly.

This sort of shot works well, have done similar under our Boscombe pier in the past apart from the "H" shape on the right which is a bit of a distraction and spoils the foreground symmetry

It's good Alan. It is busy but you couldn't do too much about that. Love the processing.

Thanks Alex. Yes it's a very industrial scene and processed to match. Glad you saw it that way too

I really like this and the processing...

Here comes the 'but'... There are some unpleasant thin white lines along most of the high contrast edges which detract from the overall effect - particularly in the large version. i feel it's worth a bit of time either reprocessing to avoid them or going over it carefully and painting/cloning them out - clone tool set to darken and small size works well sampling from an area near the line that's darker than the line itself but lighter then the dark side of the edge if you see what I mean.
