I really like the composition, shame about the blown highlights though.

I like that very much....I don't think blown highlights are such a problem in mono - as really white whites and really black blacks are a desired effect in mono terms.

Love that, Wayne. What a great composition - great use of the building for framing, lots of interest on the platforms and lovely how the second tunnel pulls the eye right to the back of the shot. And the mono conversion really adds to the slight grittiness.

good conversion and composition. The track from the corner leading the eye through the tunnels is very good

                Re: Platform 2's Watching You

Thanks for taking the time to comment. It was the light through the tunnels that I liked originally and rails usually give a decent convergence.

Patrick, I actually don't think it's fully blown, the white house top centre seemed to be the brightest part and you can still see some cornice detail and shading on the chimney wall on the right. As others have said I was trying to get a full greyscale.

                Cheers,
                Wayne

That's one of those shots that need looking at again and again to see what's there. So much interest and I really like the disappearing view down the tunnel. Nice one Wayne

Really nice shot! As for the "blown highlights", they work perfectly in this image. B&W is about contrasts and the contrast exhibited by this image as well as the subject matter works perfectly for me!
