    Working on my inner Ansel.

Been doing a bit of reading taking some inspiration from you guys and reflecting back on the first photography book I read to create more dramatic black and white shots. After a vicious culling process I have come up with these so far.

Good work...nice solid blacks and great contrast. The first and third shots are more dramatic to me due to the diagonals, the middle shot has softer weathered lines.

I'm not about to upset the apple cart... The strong lines and angles of one and three really benefit from this approach and have no shortage of drama.

I do like the doorway too but it might be a touch more effective if it were a little less dense in the dark tones...

          Good set, full of character.
number 1 the best for me, I like the lines and the contrast - the architecture works for me.
Agree with El Sid, maybe the doorway might be a little on the dark side.

Thank you all for your comments, it means a lot. Truthfully I was struggling with the second shot. Let me see I can lighten it up a bit and post that version here. Ideally I wanted to add a splash of color to this one. The vine has three red flowers on it and I thought it might be interesting to add that. If I can get that to work I will post it here too for your thoughts.
