Swinton Park Hotel, Masham, North Yorks

Shame about the dust-dots and the cokin holder in the foreground!

I would crop this shot to a landscape

Nicely framed, and your verticals are near perfect. Did you use a level by any chance?

Agree - a little too much grass in the foreground which I appreciate you need in order to get the building/ sky in

Nice photo, but just a couple of observations. The forground cast shadows suggest it was a reasonably sunny day, so for me the image is slightly too cool (possibly the Cokin?), also the verticals look as though 'lens perspective' compensation has been applied and possibly slightly overdone at the top of the image?

            Just my personal thoughts.

I can see that no one is going to say it. It's a snap. Sorry, but that's all it is. I take them myself, so please don't get annoyed at what I just said.

I am afraid I have to agree with Rob, the secret we all strive for is how to turn snaps into something a little more creative.
There is too much grass with nothing to keep my interest in the foreground and the building being cut off on the left doesn't look right maybe a landscape would look better.
                Thanks for posting.
