    The Hermitage

This was taken last autumn up at the Hermitage.
Was a bit of experiment in hdr and panoramas.
    I tooke 4 sets of 3 exposures (+/-1)
combined in photomatix 4, stitched in ptgui, then edited in CS5.
the result is a 44"x18 canvas

What a tremendous shot, and a lot of work gone into it too. Well worth the effort though, especially on a canvas.

I'm not a fan of HDR, but that is how it should be done and I would hang it on my wall.

                thanks guys
Its a lot of work to hdr this way, I take a lot of care in photomatix to get as photorealistic as possible, then put into cs5.
from there I open the tiff in raw editor (open as) file type-camera raw.
I then process as I would any landscape image, working in layers, levels, curves, colour balance(the important one), and contrast.
colin if you would like to see it full size Id be happy to pm you a link to full size image.
