    Hermitage with 5DIII

conditions at hermitage today were less than perfect, many of the paths were closed, water was low so decided to go down to rocks by this little fall and try it out with variable nd filter. I was using live view, and as I rotated it, these fantastic reflected colours in the rocks appeared, in hindsight, I wish I had upped the iso a couple of stops more as this would have improved the water, but Im very impressed with the clarity, and the digital level is brilliant too.

Great shot. The 17 - 40mm really comes to life with a full frame sensor.

The dynamic range seems improved with the MKIII, as I would think those highlights would have blown and shadows blocked with the earlier versions.

      cheers Colin
Ive often thought about upgrading it to 16-35 mkii however looking at this on mkiii, Im not sure it would improve much.

considering either a tse 24L mkii or a 24-70 MKII

      yeah dyamic range is awesome
