    The village pond at night

    Hope you like..all bit of an experiment really, but quite pleased with the results.

            The trick with these kind of shots is retaining sky/cloud detail, which you have done, and is a far better image for it.
            It looks a lot better against your flikr black background as it brings out more perceived shadow detail.

                        Really like this one - I know nothing about landscape / night shots so will probably sound like a right idiot here but: if you took a slightly longer exposure would it not have brightened the whole shot up a bit?

                          Nor do I David! The problem I had was that a longer exposure burnt out the house lights, and my PP is rudimentary to say the least. On these 2 they were quite under exposed originally, I hope that makes sense. Thanx all for taking the time to view and comment
