James a fabulous photgraph, thanks for posting.

I use 500px and this is how I post images to this and other forums

Click on the box that is titled Embed under the photo details and then copy the displayed code for image.

Next replace the code that starts <a href=”http and ends with src=” with this is the new string that you want to use to post to this forum.

I have extracted an embedded code string for one of my images on 500px to show what it looks like before the edit and what it needs to look like to post into this forum.

500px Embed code as copied from image
        <a href="http://500px.com/photo/16471503"><img src="http://pcdn.500px.net/16471503/19dc184bff1d66a643c4465ab9e398bcc4d580b873/4.jpg" alt="Fungi by Ian (nizwa29) on 500px.com" border="0" style="margin: 0 0 5px 0;"></a><br/><font style="font-size: 120%;"><a href="http://500px.com/photo/16471503">Fungi</a> by <a href="http://500px.com/nizwa29">Ian </a></font>

Modified string ready for posting in EOS forum

For the XXXX in the string above replace with the original http, I have had to do this otherwise the image is displayed instead of the code

I hope that this may help

Cracking shot James, I'm both envoius and appreciative of your skills!

I think this is something most togs would have on their 'must do' list, but few seem able to arrange it. Perhaps we should organise a 'aurora forum event', and we all go to Iceland for a week!

          Thanks for posting, Mike

Now that is something not many people have called me I found it by trial and error by simply using the basic string from Flickr and PhotoBucket, you get much better resolution by posting from 500px than the others.

By the way you have some fabulous shots on your 500px site.
