One from the archives that I thought I'd share.
The famous Kilt Rock is a sea cliff in north east Trotternish. It is said to resemble a kilt, with vertical basalt columns to form the pleats and intruded sills of dolerite forming the pattern.
At the time when I took this shot, Skye hadn't seen rain for 8 weeks!!
Unheard of in that part of the country.
Shame really as theres normally a waterfall that flows from the top of the rocks to the sea.
