    A Winter Woodland Walk

It was a day for not using the car due to the first snowfall of the year. Its only a minutes walk into our local woods so it was interesting to see what the snow would do to the wooded landscape.
First image was an old railway line cutting through the woods, in the distance was a lone photographer taking shots of 3 foot long icicles hanging down from the bridge.
Second image is the local stream that use to run red due to a local iron ore underground mine.
Both tripod mounted F11 around 1/15 sec at ISO 200

I'm trying to place the dismantled railway ... Marylebone area (twixt Wigan and Red Rock) on The Whelley branch ? Might be miles away as I'm guessing.

Stream a feeder to the Douglas?

        Like them both.

#2 a super image but have you used a graduated filter on this as the tree tops look very brown?

#2 is definitely my favourite out of 2 good shots but yes, it does look like you used a graduated filter on both that for me is out of place.
