    Road to the frosty hills

Taken not far from Neilston, where I live. I love this area. I feel very blessed to live here. It was a frosty morning at the end of february. I've been getting to grips with Lightroom4, which I am really enjoying. The processing was done solely using LR4.

I rather like that, I might be tempted to clone the telegraph wires on the horizon. But I do like the highlight of the frost in the foreground and the shadows of the sheep in the field.

Lovely atmosphere to that! You've got the processing just right, a real steely feel to it.

I would be very pleased with that, subject to Di's suggestion with the telegraph poles.

and a vapour trail as well. I'll be different and say leave the telegraph lines (well they was there!).

Excellent, very atmospheric a shot I'd be chuffed to have taken.

Thanks for the kind feedback. I knew the poles and lines would be mentioned! As MX5 says, they were there! I have both versions now anyway. I am only learning PSE and LR4, so didn't want to try and clone them out. But, here goes!

Very well done, but I would be inclined to leave the poles and wires as they have been part of the landscapes for over 160 years. So removing them is showing a view that no one may have ever seen.

Thanks Tom for your comment. I don't know about poles and wires! It's a very personal thing I think to the individual. On this occasion I am undicided. Thanks for looking,

I do like this and I think you've done exceptionally well with the processing. I do think that the scene is better without the wires and poles - after all photography is an art form and if an artist was painting this scene they may well not include them.
