    MERRICK CLIMB

    Merrick is the highest summit in sothern scotland, 866m a distance of 13.25km. A hard slog in the snow and extremely cold and windy at the trig point. these shots on the descent when the weather had improved, Canon 1100d entry, efs 18-55mm av.

                          Magnificent! I have been there several times but never in such splendid conditions, and even if I had I doubt whether I would have got such glorious images. I have to admit, when I saw the first one I thought there had been shum mishtake and it was going to be a set from Wester Ross rather than the southward view across Loch Trool. This is part of the scenery that most of the tourists zoom past on their way from the south to see the Loch Ness monster.
