Oh that's a real corker of a shot John! It looks crystal clean on my monitor. Your kit has done well.

I don't do landscapes, but if I did I would be looking for that gorgeous light just before and just after storms ...... just like this shot.

Great shot, the darker skies enhance the buildings colour.

I really like the way the light is bringing out the colour of the houses. Great shot.

A beautiful shot and, by coincidence, I had just seen exactly the same scene in Michael Portillo's 'Great British Rail Journeys' - but yours is much better!

When I think I should 'do more landscape shots', your shot is the sort of thing that comes to mind, and I would like to think I could manage! High hopes, and maybe not very realistic, but I find shots like this to be very inspirational.

Excellent shot BTW (in case you hadn't guessed!). Love it!

                Well done, Mike.

It's 28 years since I've been to Tobermory, looking at this maybe I should go back. Nice pic.

As an aside Garrett, How'd Michael Portillo get to it on a train?

                          Hi All

Many thanks for the positive comments - the 5D classic produced great image quality and I have made A3+ sized prints that are excellent.

I was lucky to be there at the right time - it had rained for 6 days up to that point.

I was expecting one of the Wombles.

Love the coloured houses. the still water and the two boats give it great balance.
