    Hengistbury Head Driftwood

Popped out to Hengistbury Head yesterday afternoon for the sunset, not as dramatic as the past couple of evenings but I did spot this large piece of driftwood with the light shining on it. H H in the distance

Nice tones and colours in this - I think the composition is a bit unbalanced, I find my eye drawn to the footprints which are facing back out of the frame. A portrait crop on the driftwood top to bottom of the frame would work better for me, leading the eye beyond to the horizon.

      Thanks Peter
The footprints are mine as I was walking round to get the shot. It is a very large piece of driftwood and I wanted to try and balence the shot by including the Head and distant Isle of Wight in the background so the footprints had to stay. A portrait crop would probably make quite a good study of the driftwood itself - might try that. In the meantime heres a furtherv shot from a different angle which excludes the footprints
