    Kingston Lacy House

With the forecast of the better weather being in the west today we headed off the the NT property in Somerset, Lyles Cary but as usual the forecast was wrong and it was quite dull from the outset until we were driving home and the nearer we got to Bournemouth, the brighter the weather, so we decided to stop off at Kingston Lacy for a couple of hours. This is one of my favourite National Trust properties to shoot, here are a couple of views

    Both with my EF-S 10-22

Very nice Stan, love the symmetry of the first, great colour too.

Probably the best I have ever seen it Stan, the sky looks a little noisy though.

          Thanks Paul, Bill and Colin

the sky looks a little noisy though.
you are right, a bit surprising in a way though as they were shot at ISO 400 but on the other hand its a plain sky so any noise is going to show up. I have now replaced both shots following applying NR to the sky

The 1st image is tops Stan. The symmetry is spot on.

              Thanks Tom

Both shots took a while to get as there were a good few people about so not easy to get a clear shot

I rather like number two. The way the gravel walk way creates the diagonal.

Great shots. What amazes me the most is that there aren't hordes of people in the way given it's the middle of the holidays!

the car park was chock a block full but there was also a craft fair in the grounds so a lot of people were at that. The first two shots took time waiting for a view without crowds of people, the last one was shot just before closing time so far fewer people to worry about
