    Straw Bales @ Sunset

I took this shot in the fields of Upper Persley a short distance from home.
The twinkling lights in the b/g are from Dyce Airport and surrounding buildings

5D2, 24-105, ISO 100, 3 Bracketed shots at f22 and processed in HDR Efex

I quite like this Mike but personally feel that the couple of puffy white clouds at the top detract from the lovely golden feel of the image, I think I would crop the off the top bringing the horizon up a little.

still a very nice scene well captured.

I have tried this a few times but having picked the focal bale the others never seem to be in the right place so yours is good and especially shot at sunset

          Thanks Folks

I did try a wee crop before posting but thought it looked a tad too yellow so decided to leave it as is to add a bit of colour.

That works very well Mike, but I can see what Muscat is getting at with the sky.

              Cheers Peter
Looking at it again and again its the wee "dot" of cloud that keeps catching my eye.

Fair point about the crop but personally I prefer the darker clouds at the top as it keeps the whole image together and stops the eye from scooshing out of the image.

I like the composition and the perspective you took for the image, and the golden color gives it that nice fall feeling. Well done Mike.

Your lucky. Farmers near me, cut, baled, moved and turned the soil before I could get to them.
