    Near Landmannalaugar

Haven't been around for a bit - just been busy with life in general. This is the first thing I've posted since my flickr account has been flicked over to the Beta with no obvious way of getting back. Anyway after some searching I discovered the BB code and so here we go. Still haven't discovered how you link to maps though ?

This is showing the multicoloured rhyolite mountains near Landmannalaugar, Iceland on Day 1 of the Laugavegur Trail.

Good composition. Cropping a little off the top and applying a graduated neutral filter to the top half would help the impact, I think.

Thanks Tom, Colin, Bill and Andy.

Andy the lighter area at the top is actually mist not sunlight and I wasn't sure about filtering it. I guess the fact it may not have been obvious suggests that it would be better to try to remove it.

            How about this ?

                Re: Near Landmannalaugar

I think midway between the two but in any case i would crop off a bit from the bottom as the bit of green rock doesnt seem to go with the rest of the image/colours

Looks very abstract. Love the tones and colours.

I could easily go with either version. Like it a lot.

Tom & Stan - just goes to show you can't please all of the people all of the time but I'm probably edging towards Stan's take.

                          Cheers folks
