    First posting in this section, way out of my comfort zone but here goes.

    Like the sunset colours of the second shot

    Nice cloud formations in the first but i think there is perhaps too much expanse of sky, bearing in mind your title, as the lighthouse does get a bit lost and would look better framed more off centre

      Fozzy, good efforts for your first landscapes. Stan is right; I would suggest cropping off the left and top to put the lighthouse a third of the way across and a third up.
      Lovely colour on the second.

            The Second lighthouse image is much better.

                  Well Fozzy, I think it is much better. Your eye goes straight to the lighthouse, and then moves right to the more interesting hills behind. In your first edit my eye hunted around to find the lighthouse, and then got stuck in the middle, caught between left and right. Hope that makes some sort of sense.
                  Most importantly, though, which do you prefer?
