    A Passing Storm

Another image from New Zealand this is a wharf at Akaroa. I keep revisiting this image as I think it has some potential, given the dark and moody element of the passing storm but...I'm not sure if my processing suits the scene.

This image is one of three bracketed images which; I had intended to blend (not my strong point) I did try a merge to HDR in photoshop but wasn't happy with that processing. I've cropped it, used a little bit of noise reduction and lifted the shadows on the hills a little.

So what's the consensus, does it have potential and what if anything would you do to improve/change the processing.

    EXIF: 5D3, 24-105 @24mm, ISO100, f16, 1/320sec hand held.

Nice shot Pete ,I Like the detail in the cloud over the distant mountains and how the jetty pulls you in.

Nice shot Peter. We stayed in Arakoa for the last couple of days of our trip in 2008 but I can't remember this place - I guess as the sign says it might have only been constructed since our visit. The lamp posts look a bit odd on a new-ish wharf but that could be something to do with the French heritage of the town. Can't think of anything to do to improve this.
