Thats a great example of HDR, you got it spot on.

I have consistently failed to get HDR looking good, I need to study the workflows and options to try and get results anywhere near as good as that.

Was that from multiple images shot at the time or one shot processed into multiple images?

I think I need to see those videos too

it was 3 images bracked at 3 over / 3 under - I've seen some single shot HDR images and I don't think they work well as you do loose a lot of the detail within shadows & highlights that only an exposure for that can offer
