    Fog on the Firmounth

An eerie atmosphere in the hills yesterday, with fog and mist creeping around the tops...

    Hi Douglas,
What a dark, brooding and atmospheric image this is. At first glance I thought it was too dark but after looking at it for a while I really began to like its minimalistic 'arty' style - very different from the norm and I'm sure plenty of your photographic club judges would tell you to do 'this and that' which would result in an image that looks very much like everybody's else's work - be strong and resist this temptation !

I really like that and I can see that hung on a wall somewhere, the lone tree finishes it off nicely. Very well done!

That is a cracking shot! As it loaded I thought it was a bit grey but I just needed to wait until I saw the silhouetted bottom. Well done.

That's a very minimalist image, but it works for me.
          A very artistic image.

Excellent... I like that a lot... I can see that in a big black frame with a white mount on a big white walll. Great job. Well done. Cheers. Lee

Douglas, that is really, really cool. Love the atmosphere you've captured, and great composition with the lone tree setting it off. As others have said, as it scrolled up my screen I thought 'what have we got here?', but the full shot is gorgeous.
