    Snow on the Brecon Beacons

Brecon Beacons Snow by Andy_Leslie, on Flickr

So, yesterday, heavy snow on the Brecon Beacons above my house. Thanks to our foresight in getting a couple of 4WD cars, I was able to leap up and take a dozen or so pics of the scene. This is probably the best (IMHO), the others are all on my Flickr page.

Rained heavily last night and magically, all the snow has gone. I feel like the little boy in The Snowman.

It's just a shame that the sun wasn't out when the Red Kites were feeding, the reflected light from snow always increases their photogenic qualities.

Thanks all. This is in fact a 3-shot HDR (-2, -1, 0) which I did in an attempt to sort out exposure, which looks like it worked. This is what HDR is for, not all those weird shots we see bandied about (not here!)

excellent work Andy - I did wonder when looking at data on flickr but didn't want to say anything as I know some take offense if asked whether its HDR

                    Did you use PS ?

                        PS CS6.

I seldom take offence at a question about a photograph. There are very few stupid questions, but many stupid answers.

Nice image from the Brecon Beacons National Park, not far for me to travel and I love the area.
