    Flatford, Suffolk.

Been planning a trip down to Flatford for quite a while now & this morning was looking good weather wise so off I went. There wasn't quite as much frost as I'd hoped for but there was some so I was happy enough.

Lovely set mate,,I prefer the second one composition wise as the foreground in the first looks a little messy, good colour and reflection as well in the second.

the first would look better with the foreground cropped to leave an almost square shot

I can see why you included that amount of foreground in No.1 Tom, as it the only bit in the image with some frost on it, but it does somewhat distract from the rest of the image. So, I would go along with Stan on that one, and crop the image to remove most, or even better, all of it.

In shot No.2 it works for me.

BTW, I have taken a shot from the very same spot you stood, for No.1.

Flatford Mill, is just a 10 min drive for me.

Agree with Stan but as Dave S commented I can see why you included the frost.

Do prefer the second with the lovely reflection and morning colours in the sky.

Nice set, second one is a cracking shot with lovely subtle colours.

Both are good but for me the second is the stronger of the two, can't say exactly why it just seems to 'work' a lot better.
