I made this photo of the Ligurian coast from the busy road that runs along the beach. To avoid putting cars and passers-by, I emphasized the colors of the sunset and the horizon with the silhouette of the promontory far away. It's not the right choice...perhaps.

Nancy there is no right or wrong choice it's your choice that's one of the joys of this hobby personally I think it works very well without a focal point I could see myself just sitting there and watching the sunset

A nicely composed image Anna. Also love the colors and if you need a focal point, then that small that the land mass is pointing to can be one. Or even the land mass it's self as it looks like the head and neck of a brontosaurs. In any case a very well done image.

Dave, many thanks !! .... My shots are often emotional, without thinking about it too much and forgetting the technical and rules.
But this is what I love most when I photograph...And it shows !!!

Thanks Tom: I really appreciate also your point of view.
I focused a lot on the colors of the sunset ... from a high position. I'll try to get down to the shore and offer other shots.
