Re: By The Pond
Nice scenery Chris.
Do you have any editing software? This might be a good image to try out the Orton Effect, Les McLean has shared a very useful totorial here, if you fancy trying it. http://www.eos-magazine-forum.com/sh...ighlight=ortonCanon EOS 5D Mark III, EF 135mm F/2 L, EF 16-35mm F/4 L, EF 50mm f/1.8, EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM, EF 28mm f/2.8

plus nice idea from Andy. I've used the orton effect and on scenes like this is works very well. Hopefully if you have Raw files you can do both:- Ian

Re: By The Pond
Thanks all for your comments, much appreciated.
Andy - I have Photoshop 10, tried Orton Effect but not very satisfactory, thanks for the tip, I will keep trying.
Stan, Nat, Ian, Alan, This was taken before I started using RAW for all shots, so only have jpeg. Agree sky is blown out.
Alan, http://www.eos-magazine-forum.com/sh...ght=gloucester very impressive!
Once again thanks all.Chris

Re: By The Pond
Been trying out the Orton Effect, in Photoshop, as mentioned by Andy.
Certainly brings out the colour - any comments?

Re: By The Pond
looking good Chris and I prefer this to the original
I would suggest you look at the fine adjustments you can do in PS using Orton, this allows you to target light and dark parts of the image and can bring out some nice detail:- Ian
