    Old Harry

We went to Swanage yesterday morning and then on to Durlston Country Park a couple of miles further west. This is a shot of Old Harry Rocks with the Swanage coastguard station in the foreground. Shot with the Sigma 150-600, testing it out as a landscape lens. Does it work?.....not sure

as an aside, not that we were aware at the time but whilst we were there a walker fell from the cliff top at Old Harry, 100 feet, and sadly dead by the time rescuers arrived

This is indeed a lovely shot. Very well taken, good colours and very sharp. Falling down cliff tops seems to be rather "common" these days.

there is I think no wall and if anything like where we were very slippery due to the recent rain. Where we walked along the cliff edge there was a waist height wall so felt reasonably safe but when we got to a certain point where the path was just open against the edge, enough was enough and we turned back inland for a cuppa in the café

The shot works well Stan, lots of detail and contrast.
I'm always wary of fences or walls protecting falls from heights, specifically the substrate the barrier is secured to. Twenty years ago that fence may have been three feet from the cliff edge but due to erosion may now be on the edge and not so secure, you were right to retreat to the cafe.

Its a lovely view Stan and I do like the tops of the houses peeking in the foreground. And of course, a bird too.

Is it me or are the white rocks a little soft, especially on the left side?
