    Smailholm Tower, Scottish Borders

Having successfully (I hope!) posted an image on the Sport and Action part I thought I'd post a photo taken with my recently replaced 40D.

The photo is of Smailholm Tower in the Scottish Borders where I originally come from. I took it with the 40D and Sigma 10/20 zoom lens which I'd recently bought. On of the attractions of the tower is that there is a pond in front of it which gives plenty of variety according to the time of year and weather conditions.

Nice composition Dave, but suffering from being very soft; on my monitor anyway. You will see many comments on the Forum advising that direct downloads are often less than successful and you will getter better quality posts downloading via the likes of Flickr, and I think this might be a case in point.

Thanks Andrew, I'll bear that in mind in future.

agree, its also a bit small - 800 pixels on the longest side is best for viewing on the forum

I'll bear that in mind in future.
you could try putting this one on flickr and see if it looks better

As I said in on of my other posts today, it's been quite a while since I posted on the forum so I'll need to revise my posting technique!
