    Skútustađagígar in north Iceland

    Taken on a night of a really energetic aurora - the photographers in the scene are standing on the rim of one of a number of old pseudo craters formed when hot lava meets water - the resulting steam blasts a crater into the ground.

      That's a super shot.

      I was in the garden last night trying to capture the aurora without too much success. It was quite active and I could still see it looking to the south west.
