    Thornwick Bay

A long exposure photograph of the coastline at Thornwick Bay near Flamborough. This was taken on Monday evening, unfortunately the sunset didn't show through the clouds as I'd hoped, but I'm still very pleased with this shot. :)

Thanks Neil. It was my only shot from the evening that I was pleased with really. The light was quite poor, but the 10 stop filter brought a bit of life into the photo.

Nice composition Andy and like the way the ND filter has been used to capture the movement in the clouds.

It was, Tigger. I've taken a few shots in the past and they were spoilt by me being too lazy to use the grad, I thought I'd better do it right this time.

I met paulr5604 there on Monday and we both took some photos, in fact I believe Paul has now got himself a 10 stop filter and is going back there this evening. I'm looking forward to seeing his shots. NO PRESSURE Paul!!

                            Hi Andy

I'm guessing this is the same place as Paul shot, but this image has a slightly different outcome (in paul's i was drawn to the rocks) in this image its the sky what pulls me in

                              Hi Paul,
Yes the same place (we went together). I'd visited some time ago (shot below), but the sunset didn't really happen that day either. Not that sunsets are necessarily the best for every scene.
