Refugi Ventosa i Calvell

Took this last year on a day walk to this mountain refuge. We'll be returning next month but this time staying overnight as part of the Carros de Foc loop which takes in another 6 nights in other refugi.

Thanks guys - yes this one does look pretty rugged. I tried a mono conversion of this and the landscape looks almost "shattered" - it needs more work but I'll post when it's ready.

Neil - yes that is the refuge on the left. For a fee you get a bed, blanket and for an extra fee you can have dinner, breakfast and a packed lunch. The idea being that once you are up in the mountains you don't have to come back down and go up again the next day. Plus a bit like hostelling you get a chance to meet like minded people from all over the world.

The Refuge certainly blends in well, I would like to see a Pic with better light Scott to see if it brings the Vegetation to life
