    Looking Up

Managed to have a day out from the office on the WORST day ever weather wise - we have low clouds and winds from the Sahara thats making the sky FLAT as hell and temp 39 with humidity at 76 YUCK.... but I'd planned my day off so headed out -

Tried to get a shot where the lack of blue sky didn't matter ;o( .... but pleased with this one as it was the shadows against the wall that first caught my attention

cheers Chris - the top one..

I did walk to the top but couldn't let go of the handrail to unlock the door and go outside, but it was no great loss considering how yuck the sky was

A very interesting shot Ian - presumably an existing courtyard that has been roofed over?

              Thanks John ..

No its a small castle on top of a mountain - you have to drive up an extremely narrow road for 30 minutes - then walk for the last 20mins to get to the top - I've attached a photo showing you and you can see its a bit steep and one heck of a drop just the other side of the path - H&S Spain LOL

The funny thing is you collect the key from the local town hall and let yourself in ... please ignore the quality of this photo its AWFUL

Nice shot Ian, but on those days with diffuse lighting, it is a good day to think BW and a great opportunity for doing some dodging & burning.

Nice, Ian. I can see why you were attracted to the interplay of shadows and silhouettes. And I find it slightly disorientating (in a good way) with the right hand staircase almost appearing Escher-esque. Nice gentle use of vignette too.

I like it....there is definitely an optical illusion thing going on...might be one of those things that some see and others don't .....for me it's am I looking down or looking up.....maybe it's just me.
